About Us

Hi, we're Nayla.

NAYLA is an eponymous footwear line founded by Nayla Atallah. We create sandals that bridge the gap between sustainability and design. Based in Miami, we are passionate about the natural world and believe that protecting it has never been more important. At the same time, we don’t want to compromise on looks. Starting with innovative, eco-friendly materials that are sourced ethically, we handcraft sandals that are both versatile and chic. Through our supply chain, we hope to embody and inspire a new wave of social and environmental awareness. Walk with us.

Our materials put the planet (and its people) first.

Our sandals are composed of earth- and ocean-friendly materials cultivated by suppliers that are truly innovative. Their shared passion for creating sustainable ecosystems has led them to develop cutting-edge processes that are both scalable and ethical. We also work closely with an ethically-run, female-owned factory in Peru who produce our sandals in small batches. We empower these local communities and give them a place in the global market. In doing so, we hope to pave the way to a better future for everyone. Our guiding principle is simple as this: what’s good for the planet is also good for its people.

Sustainability meets versatile design.

Our shoes are minimally-designed with refined textures and pops of color. They are inspired by nature and the playful yet structural Art Deco architecture that gives Miami its distinct character. Each shoe is carefully crafted by hand and made with comfort in mind, so that you can move effortlessly from day to night. Wearability is everything to us, and versatility is in and of itself sustainable. The result? A line of work-appropriate, evening-ready sandals that you can feel good about it.

Because the environment is a luxury.

And it’s changing every day. NAYLA sees the environment as an invaluable resource and inspiration. By thoughtfully cultivating our environment, we can save and even restore it. Together with our supply chain partners, we are mitigating the effects of an industry historically built on social and environmental exploitation. In the process, we’re flipping the notion of what luxury is and means. Helping the planet and its people is the greatest luxury.
